As the new voice of Chevrolet, Tim Allen may want to keep his latest project car a secret considering its a ’55 Ford powered by a 5.4-liter Ford-GT spec long block. Allen’s project car is being built by Moal Coachbuilders out of Oakland, California who have a 100 year history of fabricating automobile’s so no doubt this will be another masterpiece.
The ’55 Ford features custom exterior body mods including frenched headlights and a Thunderbird-style hood scoop. To aid the 5.4-liter motor a pair of charge cooler vents have been integrated into the bumper and the screened intakes help feed the airbox. The 5.4-liter engine will be good for around 800 horsepower with power put to the ground through an automatic transmission from a Ford Lightning.
The interior of the ’55 Ford is bare right now except for the Dynomat sound deadning material but we have learned it will feature a bench seat to try and retain the original look.
