A Massachusetts car collector may have come across the ultimate barn find when he discovered a 1967 Shelby GT500 in Death Valley California. The Barn Find as they are called was sitting for more than 25 years in the hot Death Valley sun where temperatures reach 110 plus degrees in the Summer. Considering the temps and the years it sat the Shelby GT500 was in relatively good condition except for the exterior paint which has seen better days. This would have made one heck of a project car but the new owner has other plans.
Whats more amazing is that all the original Shelby goodies that came from the factory including the 428 ci V8, four-speed trans, wooden steering wheel, fiberglass hood and trunk and center driving lights are still on the car. The new owner plans to clean up and get running the 428 V8 all the while keeping the exterior the same as he found it.
